The right care for wooden boards

Wooden kitchen and cutting boards are natural products and do not require any special care.

Nevertheless, it is recommended to treat the boards as follows:

• After use, always wipe with a damp cloth and thoroughly remove all food residue. Always dry wet boards standing upright so that air can circulate freely around the board.
• The boards must never be put in the dishwasher!!!
  
• Use different boards for different cutting tasks. This will prevent odors from, for example, garlic and onions from transferring to fruit or vegetables.
• If you want to avoid strong coloring substances discoloring your board, oil it lightly with fresh, clean cooking oil before using it for the first time. This will make the wood darker, but it will not absorb the color as easily. This will make the board easier to care for and will keep it appetizingly clean for longer.
• Attention: Pyrography and boards can weather naturally when left outdoors . This means that engravings fade and wood turns grey and dark. It is subject to the natural weathering process. You can varnish the board, but moisture will still cause the board to weather over time.
